India, Love it or hate it, they always said. Honestly, we weren’t exactly thrilled with the stories we heard, and our trip to India remained on hold. But when we flew to Nepal in 2023, we had a layover in Mumbai. There we were, no escape anymore! Okay, we thought, let’s do this. But let’s start off slowly in the south. We had heard that the north can be a bit intense. So off we went, with our backpacks, exploring the incredible Kerala, and we ended the trip with a party in Goa.
After four weeks of traveling, we were completely converted. Seriously, what an amazing country this is! So green, so intense, so unique, and the people so wonderful. We finally understood. India, you have to experience it yourself to truly understand. And man, are we glad we took the leap.
From the tea plantations in Munnar, to the jungle in Thekaddy, and the beautiful surroundings of the backwaters, to our blissful time in Palolem, Goa. We couldn’t get enough. South India definitely leaves us craving for more! We’re incredibly curious to discover what else India has to offer. So this is definitely not the last time.
