Lief Huisje Zeeland
Cute is quite the understatement when it comes to Lief Huisje Zeeland. There’s nothing standard about this house. Here, you’ll find coziness, vintage tins, hidden corners, books always within reach, a guitar to strum, a clawfoot bathtub, and a DVD collection (yes, DVDs, those shiny round circles with a hole in the middle) that will amaze you. On the first day, I was completely engrossed in exploring all the delightful spots and details in this house. Book here >>

Vintage Love!
The love for vintage emanates from this house! Every item has been carefully selected with love and despite the mix of different styles and colors, they all perfectly complement each other. From colorful teapots, enamel bowls to the most unique vintage lamps. The old oven is indeed the centerpiece of the room. And what about the robust wood stove? What gems!
The kitchen might have a vintage look, but luxury is not lacking. There’s an oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, and even a microwave available.
Tip! If you’re also a vintage fan, near Lief Huisje Zeeland, you’ll find 2 very cool vintage shops. A place where owner Iske loves to visit as well.
A Fine Balance
Via the staircase in the living room, you reach the bedroom. A beautiful space with a lovely beam structure and lots of wood. While your senses are stimulated in the living room, the bedroom exudes light and tranquility. We crawl into bed early and sleep like logs because the bed is divine.
If You’re Looking for Me, I’m in the Bath!
Give me a bath and I’m happy! Give me a clawfoot bath, and I’ll never leave! The bathroom in this accommodation is the cream of the crop, the icing on the cake. In short: a bathroom to relish! The vintage clawfoot bath is the jewel of the room. As if that’s not enough, the bathroom also features a unique washbasin made of enamel that you can flip to let the water drain. I mean, how cool can it get?
It’s in the Details
It’s clear I’m a fan! But even if you’re not impressed by vintage furniture, you’ll instantly fall in love with this house. There’s a lot of attention to detail. The complete pantry is filled with handy items, sustainable brands like NAIF and Green SOAP (love it) were chosen, delicious drinks from Appelaere were waiting for us, and we even found M&M’s in the kitchen, which were quickly consumed and swiftly replenished before departure;). Even in the bathroom, you’ll find all sorts of delightful things. If you fancy an outdoor dinner, fire up the green egg. It’s these kinds of details that make a stay extra enjoyable.
Surrounded by Nature and Always Near the Sea
Lief Huisje Zeeland, as the name suggests, is located in the beautiful province of Zeeland in the charming village of Turkeye. This village, with only 20 houses, is surrounded by nature. You can walk straight from your house into nature. But the well-known seaside resorts of Breskens and Cadzand are just a 10-minute drive away, so there’s always something to do.
Can I Stay Here?
If we could pack up the house and take it to Nijmegen, we would. “I could live here” was something we said to each other every day. What a wonderful place. Not just the house, but the location is also fantastic! Surrounded by nature, a 10-minute drive from the beach, plenty of nice hotspots, and various cities for a day out. So, a huge recommendation: Lief Huisje Zeeland.
