The Best Glamping Spots in the Netherlands
Glamping is HOT! And we can’t blame you! Glamperen is camping but with a significant upgrade. No hassle with toilet paper under your arm and walking back to your campsite with wet hair. No, with glamping, you enjoy the luxury of a hotel and the camping atmosphere. From unique treehouses, cozy lodges, forest pods, tipis, yurts to luxuriously furnished safari tents for the whole family. There are glamping options for true nature lovers, but also for the luxury seekers among us.
In this article, we share our favorite glamping spots in the Netherlands.
Buitenplaats Beekhuizen: Glamping in the Veluwe
Overnight in a super cute pod in the middle of Veluwezoom? You can do that at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen. Here, you enjoy nature, each other, and outdoor life. The glamping options at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen consist of Pods and Safari Tents. The Pods look like small wooden houses from the outside, but when you enter, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the space. The pod has everything you need. Oh, and each pod comes with a fire pit. Fun, right! Book here >>
Duynpark het Zwanenwater in Callantsoog
After a delightful beach walk, you return to your luxury beach lodge, sit down with a cold beer on your veranda. The campfire is on, and the first marshmallows melt while a cozy tune plays in the background. Doesn’t sound bad, right? An overnight stay at Duynpark het Zwanenwater is PURE enjoyment! Everything has been thought of to make your stay a delightful time. You can choose from various glamping options, such as a trekking hut, dune lodges, beach lodges, and they even have tipis. Glamping at Camping Buitenland
It’s no longer a secret that we are fans of Camping Buitenland. But even for non-campers, this is a very nice place. The campsite offers numerous glamping options. And, as expected from creative Camping Buitenland, these are certainly not just simple safari tents. Each glamping option is unique and anything but boring. From a spaghetti Church, a Greenhouse, tipis to a straw house. Book here >>
Glamping at Camping Bij Ons
A few years ago, we discovered Camping Bij Ons, which is just around the corner. Nice, right. We really like coming here. Normally with our old camper Cloverfield, but you can also glamper very nicely here. From spectacular domes, super cozy gypsy wagons, tipis to a very charming little boat. View the options here >>
Huisje ANNA at Hartje Groen
Another place where we regularly go, if only for a pleasant drink at the forest hut, is Charme Camping Hartje Groen in Schaijk. Although the campsite has had cabins for some time, they have recently added a very cool new glamping option, namely Huisje ANNA, and this is not just any house. ANNA is located in the middle of nature and has a very special design, built by architect Caspar Schols. You can slide ANNA completely open, so you really stay in nature. Cool, right. Also, take a look at Hartje Groen for the video because you’ll want to book the house right away. View the options >>
Glamping at De Lievelinge
Camping De Lievelinge is probably not much hipper than this. Do you want to taste the festival atmosphere of Camping De Lievelinge but are you not a fan of camping? No worries! At Camping De Lievelinge, you’ll find numerous cool glamping options, called huurlingen. From the sturdy hut Bonanza, the forest chapel to the Boom Dome. You can’t think of anything that you won’t find at Camping De Lievelinge. View the options here >>
Glamping at Camping De Lakens
Glamping right by the sea in the middle of the dunes, who wouldn’t want that! You can do that at Camping De Lakens. Camping De Lakens is located in the middle of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. In addition to camping with your feet in the sand, you can also book unique accommodations here. I am a big fan of the retro trailer. A real vintage Airstream from the USA. How cool! But Seashacks, lodges, glamping tents, and beach domes are also absolute gems. View the options here >>
